Applications

We galvanize
to CSA Standard G164/M92. The following is the procedure for processing
material for Galvanizing:
- CAUSTIC SODA, to
remove and paint, oil or grease, heavy lacquered pipe may require sandblasting.
- HYDROCHLORIC ACID,
(pickling) to remove rust and mill scale.
- ZINC AMMONIUM
CHLORIDE or FLUX, bonding agent for the Zinc.
- GALVANIZING KETTLE,
molten zinc heated to 840 degrees F, product is emerged into the bath.
The final coating will vary depending on the type of material light
or heavy and also silicon content of the steel. Final coating can vary
from approx. 2 mils up to 8 mils. We can also do small parts i.e. angle
clips, bolts, and washers by using a centrifuge.
